What NHS panels usually ask
Expect a mix of values-based questions ("Tell us about a time you put a patient first"), role-specific questions about your clinical or technical knowledge, and scenario questions ("What would you do if…"). Many trusts also ask about safeguarding and how you handle pressure.
Using STAR well
Keep the Situation and Task short. Spend most of your answer on the Action, meaning what you did, and finish with a clear Result. Practise out loud: two minutes per answer is a good target.
