What the statuses mean
NHS Jobs and Trac use their own labels, but most applications move through the same stages: submitted, shortlisted (or not), invited to interview, conditional offer, then pre-employment checks. Recording the date you applied helps you chase politely if you haven't heard back within about three weeks of the closing date.
