Do NHS jobs even need a CV?
Many NHS posts use an online application form rather than a CV. But bank and agency work, GP practices, private providers and senior roles often ask for one. A good CV also makes filling in application forms faster, because your dates and achievements are already written down.
What a strong healthcare CV includes
- Your professional registration (NMC, HCPC, GMC) and number, near the top
- Achievements with numbers: caseload size, audit results, people trained
- Mandatory and specialist training that's in date
- No photo, age or marital status. They aren't expected in the UK.
